These are just a few of our recent
testimonials!
Just wanted to pass on my thanks to you all for such a great experience i had with the M&D team, I started off with the CBT with Mark and Phil in Holbury with the idea of just sticking with a 125cc bike just for commuting but after I'd completed the day I knew I had to go for the Direct access The CBT day which I have to say was very very good, Phil presented the day brilliantly with all his advise on safety and buying all the right gear explaining what to look for in each item i.e. Helmet etc. at the end of the day i knew then what I wanted (bike big) :) Because of Mark & Phil's relaxed and informative day at the CBT I decided to stay with the team for my DAS course. I/we had a blast everyday we went out, I met some great students and the days where brilliant fun, Mark's attitude and training ability is first class he's to the point and very easy to learn from there's no messing about whilst on the road, Mark is there to teach you and to keep you safe and to make you a competent rider (not just get you through your test) I learnt so much about road safety I find I now even drive my car better, If you listen to Marks instructions and are open enough to take onboard what he's giving you you cant go wrong, (This is very important for anyone reading this) if my testimonial gets onto the website...
While we were at the test centre for a practise MOD 1 several schools arrived with students and probably a bit unfair to say but the students where in my opinion very unsafe they arrived in poor (life threatening) road positions, unable to correctly park a bike and very unstable to mention a few, I knew then how good Mark was then as we had already covered these items long ago not the day before our test. I cant recommend Mark enough he's a top guy, very passionate about what he does he's not there just to take your money off you and send you on your way with some half cooked pass botched together with just enough to get you through, he's there to make you a safe rider end of !!!! The bikes, well what can I say they where brilliant so easy to ride and in perfect order every time we went out, they are obviously very well maintained if anything goes wrong Mark or Phil is straight onto it i.e.: indicators bulbs etc. you don't have to worry about them you know they will work every time you use them. Phil (with his OCD) will even polish them hahaha Anyway to round up i had a fantastic time it was something I had wanted to do for years I only wish id done it long ago, I cant thank you guys enough for what you have done for me, good luck for the future and hope all goes well, I miss the days in the office its such a nice location. I'm writing this having just got home after passing my bike test (about two hours ago!) and to say thanks to Mark from M&D for all his help and patience in teaching me to ride. Three weeks ago I'd never even sat on a bike, but with his instruction and coaching I did my CBT and I've just completed my DAS Direct Access course, so tomorrow I buy my Fazer :-)
He will teach you on a lesson-by-lesson basis, so if you only need three lessons, he won't make you commit to paying for a five day course, whereas if (like me) you need a bit more practice (it was only after seven lessons and two days before the test that I finally managed to crack doing the U-Turn!) you simply pay for what you need which, in my opinion, is a much better and cost-effective way of doing things. If he thinks you aren't going to get through your test, he'll tell you, and he'll keep working on your weak points until you get them sorted. So thanks to Mark and everyone at M&D and good luck to you reading this! Thank you very much for getting me through my bike test, I thought it was fantastic that after spending £450.00 with a Leading training school in Southampton and failing with a massive 10 points and 1 dangerous manuva I came to you and after only 4 - 5 hours of training I re took my test and happily passed with flying colours and achieving a clean sheet test report. Once again thank you very much and will be highly recommending you in the future. A great experience from CBT to Passed Test (with a clean sheet!!); thanks to Mark and the team! I considered various training centres to learn to ride with but I was sold by Marks flexible approach and the emphasis on learning not only the minimum to pass your test, but enough to be safe and confident on the road once you had!! Mark was incredibly patient, very positive and encouraged me every step of the way! I had the opportunity to learn with other trainees at various times and met some great people those tea stops will be missed! I can not recommend M&D enough - If you train with them you will not be disappointed! I had a fantastic experience whilst going through my bike tests and lessons with Mark from M&D Training, I was given all the confidence, knowledge and support I needed to get through my full bike test. Mark really treated me as an individual, giving me the right amount of training I needed, in a professional and friendly manner and at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend M&D Training to anyone who wants to get their bike licence, it was so quick, it was all completed within a month, C B T-THEORY-PRACTICAL TEST, and the best thing is, I past first time. I've wanted to get my bike licence for years, and now I have finally achieved my dream, thanks again Mark, all the best Shaun Just to say a big thank you to Mark and Everyone at M&D for helping me get through my practical test. I initially did my CBT with mark and he encouraged me to go forward and do my test, I was a bit anxious about riding a bigger bike, especially with no previous experience. But the modern bikes the school use are so easy, comfortable and forgiving it totally helps put a new rider at ease. The lessons are well structured and the routes he uses are well planned and laid out according to rider ability, so if your a new rider, don't worry, you wont be put on a busy dual carriageway until your ready!! Mark is also an incredibly patient man and no stone goes unturned, he will be very honest with you and tell you what areas are good at, and what areas you need to work on, so if anyone can get the best out of you, its Mark!! And it doesn't stop there, Mark was very helpful on giving me tips on what to look out for when buying a bike, what kit to go for and what to avoid. I passed my test first time and would not hesitate to recommend Mark to anyone. After I decided I wanted to complete my direct access course I decided to shop around the most well known training centres locally and after having discussed my needs and requirements with various schools I quickly found that they were more interested in my money than tailor making a scheme which was just for me, which is somewhat unhelpful when you are on a very tight timescale like myself, I got a leaflet for M+D training from a bike shop after I had raised the issues I was having with getting my training sorted and they assured me that Mark was the guy for me, so I rang up and it was like a breath of fresh air, Mark bent over backwards to accommodate me in the times I had given him, which was only a one week window. Mark moved some more flexible trainee's around so that I could get the most training possible in the week running up to my test and it was surprising to see someone so interested to help, especially when he was already pretty fully booked and had no real reason to have to go out of his way, but he still did. I did my CBT with Mark at the beginning of the week and he quickly adapted the day to suit my riding requirements with no fuss whatsoever so that I could progress more in the day than I could have done should he have kept me doing the standard day. After that I booked in 7 hours with him which would then end with my test, all throughout, his teaching style was always positive with nothing but constructive criticisms to help iron out all the small faults straight away, no messing around. Mark also remains very patient when he is helping you to refine your riding style. I took my test after only the CBT and 7 hours training and with Marks help and positive tuition I passed with a clean sheet which was more than I could have hoped for. I would recommend marks training to anyone, his personal approach, easy to talk to nature and the ease by which he shares his vast knowledge is nothing but encouraging, and the best thing is he enjoys riding around all day just as much as you do. The bikes are just what you need and there are various options to suit your specific needs and the radio communication systems are brilliant too (unlike the ones they make you use on your test - and other major schools). Now I am insured and ready to ride around on my new pride and joy feeling safe and confident in my abilities"
